"I already knew before starting an LLM that, as a mature student with work and family commitments, the online environment would offer me flexibility and convenience to fit in study around my life.  I worked as a corporate lawyer for many years before starting my own business. I was ready to challenge myself, wanted an academic study, was very interested in mediation and felt I had relevant experience. I was drawn to this course as I thought the balance between academic and practical study would suit me.
One term in and my expectations have been exceeded."

"This outstanding LLM in mediation and international commercial dispute resolution at Newcastle Law School is such a flagship programme that combines theory with real-life practice. Not only are you expected to engage fully in real-time with your classmates around the world and practise your mediation skills every now and then, you are also challenged to form your own scholarly ideas over core mediation issues including the socio-legal perspectives and ethics of mandatory mediation or whether mediation as an appropriate dispute resolution means facilitates access to justice.
